Well-known entrepreneur of Ambalangoda and Galle District Cricket Association President H.G. Premasiri was shot dead on Friday night, Police said. He was the proprietor of Sumanadasa Group of Companies. Two unidentified person who arrived in a white car had fired at Premasiri who was about to drive into his house at Manimulla, Ambalangoda. The victim’s 10-year-old son was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The boy did not sustain any injuries. Premasiri who was rushed to Balapitiya Base Hospital, succumbed to the injuries before admission to hospital. Investigations are continuing to arrest the suspects.
