NASA Conducts 'Piggyback' Rocket Launch

NASA has successfully conducted the Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite launch in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The rocket was placed on an Orbital's Stargazer L-1011 aircraft, before it was decoupled and launched. Piggyback launches like this are rare, but sometimes serve an important purpose in helping payloads reach orbit.
